Be Near Me
Dove back into Gran Turismo 4 today. Briefly played with the idea of widely increasing the garage, but worked on licensing instead. Frustrating, sometimes, but getting the badges was good. Still have some stages to work on before I can get into the highest-end races.
I don't mention him all that often, but not so long ago, I was reminded of what a good cat my brother, Matt, is. We were at a family function, and I saw something that very quickly put me into an uncontrollable laughing fit. Matt was close at hand, and when someone asked what I was laughing at, Matt was able to answer for me, explaining that sometimes I'll just completely crack up, and I had probably made myself do it in order to burn off some tension. He was right on the former, of course, and saved me from having to come up with an explanation that probably wouldn't have been nearly so satisfactory.
Thursday night was a first for me in my off-and-on railfanning - I caught a full-length work train at the NS yard here in town. Probably 30-35 cars, a few dormitory cars, but mostly flats with a broad mix of equipment - cranes, dozers, trucks, and the like. When I was in West Virginia back in early April, I saw a much smaller CSX work train, just a short string of gondolas and a caboose. More things to think about regarding future model purchases.
