Burning House of Love

Numbers were crunched, gut feelings were consulted, decisions were made.

No GenCon for me this year.  Hitting a couple of smaller cons instead.

So, the probable schedule is ...

April:  Conglomeration (Star Wars)
May/June:  Diecon (Deadlands)
October:  Archon (Spycraft, probably)

We'll be doing both of the St. Louis ones. Not sure how many people we're taking to each or where they're leaving from, but we might have ride and/or room space if you need it.

It's starting to look like I won't be able to make GenCon Oz, here. Far too much other stuff going on this year :(

Thank ya!

[identity profile] tracker7.livejournal.com 2008-01-22 12:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry to hear that, man. Nothing bad, I hope?

Nah, it's pretty good. I've got a con in Wellington in April which [livejournal.com profile] karanina and I are attending (partly because she wants to meet Sylar :p), then we're finding an apartment and moving in together when we get back from that.

I get the feeling that will leave me a little short of spare cash for a July con in Aussie, so I'm going to play it safe. Also, it gives me a chance to see how GenCon Oz works out before committing to somthing which could possibly fizzle on the launchpad.

Woo!! Let's hear it for shacking up!

Sounds like for the most part, things are good in your corner of the world then?

[identity profile] xer0rules.livejournal.com 2008-01-22 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that's too bad. It'd be nice to finally meet you, instead of reading LJ and knowing you via third parties of the piscine variety.

Woo, shackin' up and living in sin!

Seriously - that's terrific news, man. Glad to hear that things are going well for you two.

Wow. It's like we shared a brain there for a moment.

[identity profile] tracker7.livejournal.com 2008-01-22 01:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Likewise. I may yet try for a day trip to GenCon.

Other than Sir Ed dying, things are pretty good. There are a couple of other things that would be nice if they happen, but that's more icing on the cake.

Mmm... sin. It will indeed be good, especially if we can get a nice apartment in Newmarket (which is pretty close to town) or town itself. That'll come down to what is available at the time, however.

Yes, well, great minds think alike. And dammit, if I can't have my wife living with me, the least I can do is celebrate a friend moving in with his SO.

Wait, you've never met Andy in meatspace? I've met him twice, and I live in another country! :p

[identity profile] xer0rules.livejournal.com 2008-01-22 01:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes and for the past two years, you've been to GenCon and I have not. Pesky weddings and all that....

I neglected to comment on it in your own journal, but I really liked your photos and description of the Hillary memorials.

Conglomeration is definitely out for me.

Either Diecon or Archon (or both) are definite possibilities for me this year.
