On the Coach-Roads I did Ride

New books today.  Intelligence: From Secrets to Policy, by Mark Lowenthal, and Winter Masques, for Changeling.  Intelligence is essentially a textbook, and I honestly expect that I'll get as much use out of the bibliography as I do the book itself.  It has some information on the DGSE, and that's a good starting point.

I start training on the new job tomorrow.  I'm looking forward to it.  Something new.

Watching Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives on Food Network tonight.  An upcoming segment is on a truckstop somewhere in my fair state.  This may lead to a drive in a couple of weekends.  As it is, thanks to [personal profile] tegyrius's Trinity game yesterday, I'm craving good Mexican food.

If you want GOOD Mexican food, I recommend somewhere other than Kentucky. :-p

Good enough, then. *grin*

One of the good things about the influx of illegals we have here is the number of Mexican joints run by actual Mexicans. There's one in what used to be a McDonald's one building down from where I work that's just terrific.

Oh, I don't know. There's a quite a few good hole-in-the-wall taquerias in the Little Mexico around Alexandria and Versailles; I recommend La Unica, a little Mexican grocery with a grill in the back.

But I don't think you're going to find good (or even good enough Mexican food in a truckstop in Kentucky.
