Just What I Needed

Kentucky's primary elections were last week, and there are a couple of things of note.

Here in Louisville, the winning Democratic candidate for a district judge's seat died the day after the election. Alvarez was very well-regarded in the city's legal community. 43 years old.

To the east, a retired Marine Corps pilot won the Democratic primary for the Sixth Congressional District, defeating the current mayor of Lexington. Lieutenant Colonel McGrath aimed at incumbent Garland Barr throughout her campaign, and may have a real shot at knocking him out in November.

Unrelated, I saw Solo this afternoon. Heck of a lot of fun.
