Sometimes

Curiously, there is no mention of the S281's appearance in the Transformers movie on the Saleen corporate site.

Maybe it's because kids will want to purchase toys and not full-sized cars ;)

Still, it would be nice to see a bit of a tie-in.

Several of the GM dealerships around here have had "Transform your ride" banners in their showrooms and on their print ads. Heck, look at the graphic at the top of the GM.com home page.

In that case, it appears the makers of the Saleen (whoever they are) are just plain crazy then :p

Steve Saleen's always been the odd duck of Ford's hot-rod shop guys. He considers his company to be a manufacturer (and has a legitimate claim, as the S7 isn't a hotrodded version of somebody else's car), and removes any Ford badging from the Mustangs and F-150s that his shop modifies.

Now, if Barricade had been produced by Jack Roush's shop, you can safely bet that at least one car in every race his company runs would have had a darn nifty paint job for the last couple of weekends.
