Crackup

Had a wreck in the Mustang tonight.  Turning right onto Fontaine from Chinoe, wet road, and I nosed into an Accord.  Minor damage to both vehicles, no injury.  Insurance rates will climb, of course, and I'm probably not going to make GenCon.

My badge is on its way to me fairly soon.  I'm willing to sell it.

That sucks.

When I'm having good lucky, everyone around me will invariably have bad luck (and vice verse). Took in the car this morning for the mysterious rattle, and it turned out to be a loose exhaust shield. They said they tightened it with a clamp, and now no more rattle.

I was having these nightmare visions of the converter falling off.....

Am sorry for your car and insurance rates (RAR) but very happy you are okay. If it makes you feel better, at least you are not in Maryland (which, I discovered, has the highest car insurance rates in the United States - YAY ME).

The week was going so well, too.

I'll know more in the next few days. I'm going to see about getting the car down to Liberty this weekend (providing that I can find a way back up here, of course) - there are plenty of shops down there that do good work much cheaper than shops here in Lexington.

I hope I can still make the con. I'm going to keep the hotel reserved until the weekend before GenCon; if the money's available, I'll go.

Sorry to hear that. Sucks when that happens.

Crimony. I already said that. Brain no worky.

That's what vacation does to you.

That's what work does to me. When is brain SUPPOSED to worky?

This week was some of the best brain exercise I'd had in a long time. I just got to settle in and write and read inspirational material, instead of my day-to-day scutwork.

So, yeah, 100 Midland makes brain no worky.
