Waiting for the Sun

Last week, when I wore shoes, it was either my slippers or my sneakers.  Today, I wore my boots for my first day back at the office.  Tonight, my feet are hurting in ways I am quite unfamiliar with.  It hurts to walk.  Hurts to stand up, even.  Man.  Should have eased myself back in.

You work in an office or on a ranch, cowboy?

Hiking boots, you saucy lad.

Nothing quite so dramatic - the truck still works just fine.

Oh. Well, then I guess I just don't understand you country folk. ;+)

Of course, I'm wearing sandals regardless of weather, so it's possible I have a skewed perspective.

I wear sandals as much as possible, too. But at work, where the dress code prohibits this, I wear as nice comfy pair of boots, too. Much like these (http://www.magnumboots.com/tacticalboots/8156.html).

Those are some snazzy boots!

I'm pretty sure my work dress code does not allow sandals, but I'm a special case so no one says anything. I have been told not to walk around WITHOUT shoes on of some sort, however.

Normally, my Caterpillar boots are the best things going, but they just did a number on me.

I usually take off my shoes after about 5:30 at the office. The sales goons are supposed to leave by then, and them what stay late, well, not my concern.

*grin* I think the sandals are a symptom, not a cause.

I think our dress code allows open shoes, and they're quite tempting.
