Lonesome Town

New rear-axle brakes, new master cylinder, new starter motor for the truck.  $270.  Got no writing done.  Only a little reading - finished Soon I Will be Invincible;  will probably purchase a copy of my own soon, as this one was a loaner.

Came dangerously close to buying a Nintendo DS last night.  May buy one today.

Not especially impressed with the Stargate: Atlantis season premiere.  More Replicator nonsense.  Legion of Superheroes and The Batman were good, though.  Very much so.

Need to shower, work on 7th Sea, work on wedding address, and watch football.

The Replicators seem to be what the writers throw out when they want to use up a bunch of special effects budget without actually bothering to characterize a villain. Yawn.

They're just very interesting as opposition. Less so than the Orii, even.

Man. The Goa'uld had style.

I'm thinking of getting Ethan a DS for Christmas. He's quite the video game guy, as to be expected. He is our son, after all!

Ouch about the truck -- it's always something, huh?

I haven't written anything creative in ages. I'm almost afraid to, for fear that I've lost my touch.

I got my niece a DS for Christmas last year, and she loves it. I've played with it some myself, and it's a nice little machine. Backwards-compatibility with Game Boy Advance cartridges is nice to have.

I was expecting to shell out more for the truck repairs, to be honest. I thought I'd have to do the front brakes, too, and turning/resurfacing the rotors would have been painful. Fixing the Mustang is going to be pricey, but he was due to be out of service for the season, anyway.
