Under the Rose

Five years ago yesterday, we lost Columbia.

Tomorrow's the Super Bowl, probably bringing the Patriots to a 19-0 season.  Small get-together with dear friends, much swearing at the TV, and anticipation for the promised Iron Man commercial.

Speaking of ... I am still loving Ed Brubaker's run on Daredevil so very, very much.

Finished my read of World on Fire, and I'm pretty happy with it.  The chapter on tradecraft is a good look at espionage operations, and reads like a good update to good ol' GURPS Espionage.  A couple of new base classes, several advanced classes, the first master classes, and new feats and origins provide lots of material for character-building.

Need to do some laundry today and swing by the office for some treadmill time.  Listening to podcasts on gaming helps that time pass.

Just sharing the love...

If you are doing the workout thing, you might like this DVD (if you can get past the chick squick factor)

http://www.amazon.com/Firm-Total-Body-Time-Crunch/dp/B000SM6FJK/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1201972477&sr=8-1

It takes a few time to get the pattern/steps down, but it's been the most effective of the ones I bought after Christmas. To be fair, I haven't tried them all yet, and it takes so long to get the steps down that I'm too annoyed to start some of them. :P

(I got mine at Target, but Amazon is cheaper if you can get the free shipping.)

For now, I'm just working on dropping some weight, and the treadmill is handling that alright. Thanks for the advice, though!
