To The Sky

Yesterday was a Good Son/Awesome Uncle day.

Drove to Liberty to see Mom&Dad and The Niece.  Went to see The Incredible Hulk.  Just a good day with the family.

Now, about the movie...  This was pretty darn good.  Ed Norton is terrific, Tim Roth is so good at villaining things up, and this one is definitely a comic-book action movie, rather than Mr. Lee's Greek tragedy from a few years ago.  There is no post-credits scene, but there are more than a few things to catch - Rick Jones is in a list of scientists at the movie's beginning, Lou Ferrigno has a cameo (and Stan Lee, both of course), the Hulk gets to yell "Hulk Smash!", and we get a look at a future villain - The Leader.  It's no Iron Man, but it's definitely worth your $7 and two hours.

Not only did Lou cameo, but he provided the voice of the Hulk as well.

Just in case you hadn't heard, the director said he cut about 70 minutes (!) worth of footage from the film, most of which he wants to end up on the DVD.

70 minutes? Wow. This should be some kinda DVD, then.

I should say one thing - the director actually said Blu-Ray, not DVD. I was just assuming it would come out on both formats. They would be foolish to do so, but I could honestly see it happening.

That said, if it includes the cameo that I think it includes, then it will be totally worth it.

I expect I'll have a PS3 by the time Incredible Hulk hits DVD/Blu-Ray. I hope all the extras aren't Blu-Ray exclusive, though.
