Into the Fire

One of the things I really like about my Netflix subscription is getting to finally see the classic or iconic movies I've missed out on up until the middle of my fourth decade on this rock.  Last night, it was A Clockwork Orange.

In the past few weeks, three people, from completely different circles in my life, have asked why I'm not writing a novel.  I don't have a good answer - except I'd rather write short fiction, of course.  I'm taking this as some sort of prod from the universe to get back into the habit of writing material that isn't wedded to rules.  So help me, those few words I did for the Flags intro felt pretty good to write - that's another sign that I've ignored.

So, the development and distillation of ideas.  Alt-history.  The D**** C*** universe that [personal profile] tegyrius and I batted around at DieCon.  Something not yet revealed to me.  It's time to get things going again.

In other dramatic developments ...

Well, there aren't many.  Work continues on as discussed.  Estimated transfer date is now the week of GenCon - four weeks from now, and about two-and-a-half months later than the initial announced date.  Greatest confidence in and enthusiasm for the mission, I tell you.

Green Ronin's decided to not support D&D 4.  I'm glad.  Means the True20 and M&M and Freeport lines that I dig on so very much won't suffer any loss of attention.

Yeah, I'm glad GR's focusing on what's been working so well for them- and me. :) It'd be silly to change a forumla for what I can only imagine is fairly successful for the industry, you know?
