Soap and Water
Charcon was hit and miss. As
tegyrius posted, none of the games we actually signed up for went off. The Flames of War game we stumbled into wasn't done especially well - entirely too many units on the field. Really, there's no need to try and replicate the Battle of the Bulge on a table intended to teach new players. The amount of management required is overwhelming. I did see a lot of people having a good time, though, and I picked up a couple of books I'd been hungering for at 25% off.
Met up with Erin for lunch on Sunday. Football and pizza, followed by some DVD watching. Good times.
Picked up Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (PS2). Great fun so far, and it's even more of a sandbox than its predecessor. Thus far, I've only contacted the pirates; next up, I guess, will be the oil megacorporation.
Autumn's really settled in. Down into the 30s tonight.
Funeral for the great-aunt I mentioned a while back is tomorrow. I think I'm on pallbearer duty, but that's not certain yet.
The World Series starts tomorrow. Tampa Bay pulled out the ALCS win, and they're my team for the next 4-7 games.
