The Believers

(Friday Night, July 11)
I spent a couple of hours in the front yard tonight, lying on my old sleeping bag and stargazing. Luna is bright, so bright tonight - it's casting shadows across the lawn. Mars is high in the southwest sky. There are a few clouds, high and thin, in the west. It is beautiful, and I love it.

(Today, July 14, Bastille Day)
I have a weird class schedule this fall.
Biology for Population Health - Monday/Wednesday 4:00-5:15
Biostatistics for Public Health - Monday/Wednesday, 5:30-6:45
Evolution and Ecology of Disease - Tuesday/Thursday, 2:30-3:45
People, Policy, & the Environment - Tuesday/Thursday, 4:00-5:15
Issues in Public Health - Tuesday, 5:30-7:30

Yes, that's no classes on Friday, and nothing in the mornings. Now for the Financial Aid office to approve my appeal, find a job for the fall, and get this underway for real.

All afternoons, all the time. That looks pretty good. Not a lot of wasted time on campus between classes.

All of SPHIS's classes, undergrad upper-division and graduate-level, are afternoons and evenings, no Fridays. The disease class is my only non-SPHIS course, but counts towards the degree(s) and puts me at full-time status.
