Beautiful Liar

I could genuinely do with lots more days like yesterday.  Goofed around for much of the morning before getting scrubbed up and heading out.

Went to the Scabbard and picked up Legacies: The Sublime for Mage.  As of this morning, I'm about halfway through it, and don't regret the purchase at all.

Next was testing an idea.  Went to the main branch of the LexPubLib to see if I could get any amount of writing done there.  The answer:  Yes.  Likely more than I would have gotten here at home.  I'm going to test other locations from time to time.

Watched Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker on Cartoon Network, and I'm now regretting dismissing the series way back when.

Had a couple of good phone conversations to round out the night.

Return of the Joker was one of the best.
There were one of two other good episodes but mostly not so much.
Now that I am thinking about it.
One of the other episodes that was really good was
the one where they are trying to make Bruce Wayne think he is crazy.
That was a good one.

The episode in question is Shriek. I really like the 'behind the curtain' look at character psychology we're given:

Terry: Tell me something - why were you so sure those voices weren't coming from you?
Bruce: Well, first, I know I'm not psychotic.
Terry: I hope your other reason is more convincing.
Bruce: Second, the voice kept calling me "Bruce." In my mind, that's not what I call myself.
Terry: What do you call yourself? [Bruce just looks at him for a moment] Oh, yeah. I suppose you would. [Batman voice] But that's my name now.
Bruce: Tell that to my subconscious.

That's some good stuff right there.
