MSNBC's reporting that John Edwards is dropping out of the race for Democratic nominee.  Time for him to start angling for a Cabinet post, I guess.

Indigo Prophecy keeps getting better and better - and rather sexier, too.  The last time I game made me jumpy was the first time I played through the original Silent Hill.  My copy of Battalion Wars 2 arrived yesterday, and while I haven't yet played it, I've got to give the artists credit for a rather clever cover graphic - incorporating the Wii's logo, with a little doctoring, into the game's abbreviated title.

Finished my read of Hollow Earth Expedition during a very slow day at work yesterday.  A few more grammar and spelling errors popped up in the last pages, but they're very minor, and the game's a terrific read.  Now working my way through World on Fire.

The outer loop of New Circle Road was closed during rush hour yesterday when chunks of concrete fell from the Nicholasville Road overpass.  A bad patch job, so we're hearing today.  I'm glad I didn't have to be anywhere near that intersection last night.

It is a shame that Edwards has decided to throw in the towel, but he has been up against some pretty big competition. It will be interesting to see if his dropping out will have any impact on Super Tuesday.

When you come in a pretty distant third in your home state's primary, I think it's probably time to throw in the towel. He waited until after the next primary, since it was only a few days.

Anyway, the rumors seem to be flying that Obama is offering Attorney General to Edwards.

I think that might be a nice move on Obama's part, even if it is a ploy to gain his endorsement - though after getting the Kennedy's on board, anything else is pretty much adding extra icing to the cake.

That would be very, very bad.

I've wanted to like Edwards, but ultimately, he's come off as just another rich white guy to me. I expect that there will be a position offered to him, unless he really makes an ass of himself towards either remaining candidate.

I think that'd be a real misstep on Obama's part. Given the tarnishing that the AG's office has suffered in the last several years, a potential Obama presidency should work on finding someone really sterling for that post, and Obama's done a terrific job of surrounding himself with experienced and capable advisors. Can't see that changing in a presidency.

I tend to agree. But those are the rumors flying around.

I've always been especially paranoid when sitting on that overpass that it would collapse when my car was on it. It's always FULL of traffic, often heavy trucks, and cars just sit there. I don't know why - it's not the only overpass like that - but I just always had an eerie feeling sitting on it. This does not soothe my fears.
