Except for Stacy's verbal diarrhea, the rest of the retreat was a delight. A terrific DCC Dying Earth session, more board/card games, dinner and dessert, and just being with some of the best people in my life.
Got up early Sunday morning, hit up Casey's again, and drove out to the city park where the Kentucky flows into the Ohio. Spent a little while just watching water flow by. Back to my hotel, a little more sleep to further reset my sleep cycle, then over to the park. Helped clean up the host cabin before we headed off for pizza.
Got back to Louisville in time to start laundry and watch a race at the Circuit of the Americas. Felt good, a little bit reinvigorated even.
Monday morning, up early. Repacked my bag and headed to Mom&Dad's. Did some work around the house to prepare for my move. Spent some time driving around and confirming my decision. Inquired into a couple of storage units. Played with the dog. Came back to Louisville this morning. Got housemate's plans for after I move out, and they dovetail nicely with what I'm doing. Watched Top Gun: Maverick. Going to box up some books for sale to HPB and send off my for-sale list to Noble Knight.
