Blood Rushes
Apr. 6th, 2023 08:19 amNK made a reasonable offer for the shelves of stuff, and the books are all boxed up and waiting for shipping labels. It's a lot of store credit, and that's quite nice, since NK's going to be my FLGS for a while.
Another store agreed to host DCC Day in July, and they're going to host Free RPG Day as well. I'm glad that things are working out on those fronts. Miso's isn't, in my opinion, equal to TLGS or Heroes, but it's one of the options the community still has, so we'll make it work. I'm hoping to continue demo games here after I move, and Miso's or Card'N'All are the leading candidates.
More heavy weather yesterday - thunderstorms and maybe a couple of tornadoes. It got rough on my drive back to Louisville yesterday - high winds and really heavy rain about the time I got onto I-64 from 151, and that onramp is ugly on a good day. Weather plus ongoing road construction have just made it worse. A couple of signaled intersections were still dark when I was out this morning. LG&E's map shows about 10,000 customers without power right now, lots of them between 264 and Hurstbourne, a handful of miles from here.
If I can keep going on packing things up, I should get moved on Monday. I've started changing addresses, and that's a tiny comforting ritual.
