Someone to Love
Aug. 22nd, 2007 06:55 amLots of rain yesterday morning. I got soaked on the walk through the H-L parking lot, and never quite got warmed up all day.
The kilochurch got the first draft of their magazine to me around 11:30 yesterday morning. Turned it back to them by mid-afternoon, and should have a second-and-final draft today. Some quick cash to pay for the Mustang's repairs.
A couple of observations on people I know:
1. In another corner of the net I frequent, there's a particular poster. Let's call him J. Not so very long ago, J posts a message stating that he doesn't have time to do so right now, but in a little while he'll be back online to post something really clever and insightful about the topic at hand. J being insightful, genuinely so rather than just filling the ether with words someone else has already said, is about as likely as me conducting Easter services at the National Cathedral.
2. I have a very dear friend. Let's call her V. V is very sweet and gentle-natured, and possesses a cute and quirky sense of humor. However, on those rare occasions when she gets her Catty switch thrown, it's a hoot. A while back, we were in Fast Food Chain #11 and a couple came in. Walked by our table to place their order. V leans across the table and states, "She should learn really quickly that, one, someone with no ass at all should not wear white pants like those, and, two, she sure shouldn't wear a black thong under them." Breathing cheeseburger is difficult, I rediscovered.
Wednesday already. How delightful.
