Revolution Calling
Oct. 16th, 2007 07:35 amNormally, I hate being wrong. I don't have much experience with it, you see.
This time, though, I'm glad I blew a call.
'Cause a while back, I reported that the Lexington Horsemen were being disbanded. I found out this morning that this is not the case. They are, in fact, leaving the UIFL for Arena 2. Moving up a bit - AFL2 has 30 teams as opposed to the 15 in UIFL, and local rivalries are going to be great. The closest UIFL team to Lexington is the Ohio Valley Greyhounds, five hours away in Wheeling. AFL2 has teams in Louisville and Cincinnati - easy driving distance. AFL2 also has a longer season than UIFL, running from late March to the end of August. You know what that means? Means that in 2008, I'm only going to have a gap of about a month and a half from the Super Bowl to AF2 kickoff. Less than that from the AF2 championship to NFL kickoff.
My day has been made.
