Whew, what a day.

Left Lexington around 9:30.  Showed Mom how to download pictures from her digital camera to her computer.  180 pictures on the camera's memory card.  *sighs*  Shortly after arriving in Liberty, left for Campbellsville to take Mom furniture- shopping.  The big sectional couch she picked out is really nifty, and will be delivered on Independence Day.

Back to Liberty, for a visit with my grandmother.  Mamaw's in good spirits.  It's like the diagnosis was good for her - she knows what's wrong, she knows what is going to happen, and she knows that it'll happen when it happens, so she's going to be herself for whatever time she's got left.

Then, back to Mom&Dad's house.  Dad called, planning to be at the house by 10 or 11 or so.  Another call, shortly thereafter - the turbocharger on his truck failed, and he was in Somerset.  So, Mom, The Neice, and I head to meet him.  The turbocharger can't be repaired in the field, so his truck (with about a half-million in BMWs on board - an M3, M5, and M6 among them) will probably have to be towed to Corbin.  With this being a holiday weekend, he may not be repaired until Wednesday.

On the way back, I discovered that the larger Shell convenience store in Nicholasville will sell fuel to credit/debit card customers even after the store is closed.  Very convenient.  Gave directions to Maysville to a fellow on a motorcycle.  I think he was coming from the Patriot Guard Riders event at Fort Campbell.

So, now I'm home, stretched out as much as I can manage on the loveseat, watching a terrible movie on Encore Action.  I will probably head to bed quite soon, but I may be too tired to go to sleep quickly.

8 days.
