Life in a Northern Town

Today, the first ambulance-chasing law firm ads arrived.  Three of them are running tomorrow.  All of us in my department are disgusted by this.  Completely.  The ads should not run.  I know the company needs the money, but this is dumping salt in an open wound.

The division vice-president made the decision, and I consider him a soulless heartless coward for it.  This city and community lost loved ones, and our VP has made the decision to trivialize that pain, sacrifice what little good will our newspaper has, and further dent the morale of talented and hardworking designers for the sake of a bump to the bottom line.

Disgusting.
