Custom Cars, Gibson Guitars
Oct. 23rd, 2006 01:08 pmBack to work today. Not that I didn't work this weekend, if by work, I mean write about the state of North America after World War III. If you can get past the border garrisons, Canada's going to be the place to be.
Even though I tell myself I'm only doing this for the paycheck, I'm having some fun with the mental exercise of writing about the end of a world. It's relit some creative fires, and I'm looking at post-apocalypse settings for future games again. Once 2013 is off of my desk, I'm going to start putting together some material for a book discussing a half-dozen or so apocalypses and making good gaming environments out of them.
Eden Studios lost the Buffy/Angel RPG license. Doesn't especially bother me - never bought anything form that line, and the TV shows usually left me pretty cold. To tell the truth, I hope that the resources that new Buffy/Angel products would have consumed will be directed instead towards, say, All Flesh Must be Eaten and Conspiracy X.
This looks to be Winter Preview Week. Currently only a hair above freezing, and the forecast high for today is around 43. I dig on the cold, despite owning a convertible.
Dad's doing his last runs for Bavarian this week. I think, in fact, he's just returning the truck to the BMW plant in Greer. Loading his Mustang into the truck, hauling it to South Carolina, and driving back. Then, somebody will take him to either Kingston or Atlanta next weekend to start with Heartland.
