Today's agenda:

Muddle through early part of the workday.  Run out to Half-Price Books during lunch to pick up a GM Guide for this weekend's game, replacing my now-disintegrating copy.  Slog through the rest of the workday.  Navigate the masses assembled at Henry Clay for the football game against Lafayette.  Go on humongous cleaning bender here at the Bunker.  If I'm feeling spry round 11:30, head back downtown for the midnight show - The Princess Bride.

Yesterday's meeting was not at all a waste or disuse of time.  The Employer is prepping a new Internet project.  Extremely cool, extremely useful, and extremely overdue for this area.

Sometimes, the universe just throws you a bone.

Got out of the office a few minutes after 8.  We had heard a racket, like thunder.  Thought maybe it was some work being done in the building's attic, because whenever there's wiring or ducting or any other kind of maintenance installation in the attic, there's a lot of rumbling and the like from above our work area.  Got out to the sidewalk and looked towards downtown - and there was a big ol' fireworks show going on.  No idea as to the occasion, but it sure was pretty.
