London Calling

Yesterday's heavy weather across my fair state included a tornado in Laurel County.  Damaged about 20 homes.  I only got rained on while dashing from the comic shop to the truck.  Fool that I am, I left my jacket at my desk when I went out for lunch, thinking "Of course it won't rain in the next hour.  Those clouds?  Not yet rain clouds."  Shows what I get for thinking.

Only one comic this week - Titans East Special.  Good ol' DC.  "Hey, we need to show that this stuff is serious!  Let's kill a (potential) Teen Titan!"  Neither shop I went to had Iron Man and Power Pack on shelves.  I have one more to check on the way home from work tonight.

She's a Beauty

I found a copy of Iron Man and Power Pack #1 today, and it's cute.  The Ghost is in it, which makes me smiley.  See, when I started reading Iron Man way back when, Tony had just put a whuppin' on the Ghost, so I only really knew the character through entries in the old TSR Marvel Super Heroes game.

When I left for work this morning, there was SNOW mixed in with the spitting rain!  I was inordinately tickled, and immediately called Erin for the first "I has snow" exchange of the season.  Since today is her day to sleep in, she was not nearly as pleased with the event as I was.  Poor sleepy girl.
