One Particular Harbor
Mar. 10th, 2008 10:47 pmFortunes, while not entirely screaming towards the magnificent, are taking a swing towards the positive.
Bitched about the laptop power cord at work today. A cohort overheard, particularly the "retiring the machine soon" part, and asked if I'd be interested in selling the Toshiba when I get the Macbook. I very well might, as, even in his aged condition, Blue Max could bring me a couple hundred bucks.
Called my brother after work tonight to get his diagnosis on the truck's heating issue. He confirmed the thermostat as a likely culprit, and offered to install a new one after work tomorrow. A replacement thermostat with a 5-year warranty is going to cost me about $18, plus the pizza I'll take to my brother's place.
Chatted with a gaming buddy after work tonight, and he asked me to send him a copy of my resume. Said he'd shop me around a little bit.
Finished reading A Fire in the Sun last night, and tonight, I'm going to one of the sources of inspiration for that book, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
