I am having a terrific time running my Legend of the Five Rings game.  The game's defined short length and somewhat closed cast has helped, but far and away, the biggest boon has been the recruitment of three new players.  New blood, new ideas, new play styles, new ways of thinking.  It's very refreshing, and it's a welcome challenge to me as a GM.

Spring has come, and the obligatory crazy-ass Kentucky weather with it.  Heavy rains and flooding around midweek, clear skies and sunshine today, snow showers predicted for tomorrow night.

Oh, and since it's spring, and it's Kentucky, and crazy-ass is the flavor of the month here ... man, I'll be so very glad when all of this high school and college basketball crap's over.  The state boys' high school tournament is held here in Lexington;  blessedly, I don't have to get close to Rupp Arena on the drive to and from work.  It'll all be over Saturday night, hopefully before I get back to town.  Yesterday, UK was knocked out of the NCAA tournament, and you could almost see the clouds gathering inside my workplace.

42 days until Iron Man.

17 days until the Legends open their season.

8 days until the Horsemen open their season.
