Heroes of the Revolution

My mom was scheduled for a gall bladder removal procedure yesterday morning. Nothing to be especially concerned about - outpatient procedure, about 40 minutes under the knife, so to speak, an hour or so in recovery, and then home for convalescence. Well, that was the plan, anyway. The procedure and recovery went as expected, but it was the getting home part that took some doing. About 20 minutes after Mom's procedure began, three people were killed at a pawn shop a couple of blocks away from the hotel. Danville's downtown - including Centre College, a couple of public schools, and the hospital - was "locked down" for several hours. Never a dull moment, huh?
Ran a short Conspiracy X game this afternoon. Had to cut some parts out for sake of time, but it was a good game. Would definitely run this one again - but probably not for a while. Fading Suns and Eclipse Phase are next on my Game Day docket from the GM side, and one of the group's GMs is planning some Fear Itself sessions.
My Dodgers won the NL West pennant on Thursday! September has been a hit-and-miss month, after monster showings in July and August, but they held it together. The NL Central's coming down to the wire - there's a very real chance of a single-game playoff for the NL Wild Card slots.
