Bizarre Love Triangle
Sep. 23rd, 2016 10:59 pmPretty good Cave Day today. Started palletizing the first POD supply kits, built a couple hundred feet of shelving, delivered 400 pillows to Wayside Christian Mission. Drove a forklift for the first time in many years (still pretty good at it!). Just a good day.
Did a couple of hours at LMPHW, then game night! No X-Wing, since I needed that time to build a character with a new player, but all good. Our young Jedi led his friends through danger, fighting a truly dangerous opponent (and giving in to his Weakness). A vision meant to measure his self-control was interpreted differently, and now the team is lighting out to make sure a friend is okay. Wasn't expecting that at all, but it's pretty darn cool. Gotta figure out what to do with this.
X-Wing Wave 9 hit retailers this week. Picked up a second ARC-170 and TIE/SF. Planning an Epic X-Wing game next week with Chris B - my Raider and his Assault Carrier versus whoever. I do love the really big ships.
I didn't know how much I'd missed regular gaming. After a rough start, I feel like the game is really getting some momentum going. Players are finding the sweet spot between agency and collaboration, and they're learning to trust the GM. I'm getting creative energy and writing a little bit again. And it's just fun.
