The final game of the 2017 World Series starts in a few minutes. The Dodgers won last night, 3-1, tying the series at 3-all. This is the best thing in big time sports. Two teams with 100-win seasons; the Dodgers have been fantastic at home all season long, going 57-24 in Los Angeles, but when the season is only one game long, that's less an anecdote than useful data.

I'm more relaxed than I was last night. 24 hours ago, the team had to win twice, and they were facing Justin Verlander. Tonight, it's Lance McCullers, who is darned good - but the Dodgers' pitching rotation has worked out such that everyone except last night's starter, Rich Hill, is eligible to play. Yu Darvish is starting, 2-1 in the playoffs and Series, and the best bullpen in the Majors is backing him up.

It's time for Dodger baseball.
