The New Colossus
Aug. 17th, 2019 01:02 pmTwo weeks since GenCon, and I finally got around to reading the Cyberpunk Red jumpstart. I'm happy with what we've been shown, both rules and setting. Netrunning and combat are both smoother and faster. Much of of the world is putting itself back together after the 4th Corporate War. I'm in for the final product.
Before I get it onto the table, though, I'm introducing the Friday night Star Wars group to Legend of the Five Rings. Using the fourth edition for the game, since it's the best incarnation of the R&K version, and I haven't yet seen fit to pick up FFG's version of the game. Sent out a link to the freebie quickstart AEG put out a few years ago, and that should be enough for the players to get a handle on things before we play next week.
Dad had a load to Tacoma this week, and he sent me photos and videos from the passage through Montana. Good lord, that is some beautiful country. Someday I want to get out there and see it for myself.
