tracker7Bittersweet news last night. Pet Shop Comics' owner is retiring at the end of the year. Rick's really kept the F in FLGS, building a welcoming store and supporting a great gaming community.
Rick mentioned a potential buyer for the business in his announcement. I hope that works out for the sake of the PSC community. The shop won't sell comics under this new owner, as Rick is keeping the name for his plans to get back into writing and drawing comics. Not sure how or if that'll work out, but that's why I'm a customer and not a small business owner.
There is, of course, a closing sale, with preference given to his preferred customer list - and yay, I'm on it. So, while I do hate to see the store going away, I'm not too good to help clear out some inventory. I guess I won't have to wait until Christmas for that copy of Arkham Horror, after all.
First pitch of the 2017 World Series is in about two hours. The Dodgers are starting Clayton Kershaw, because gods why wouldn't they. I'm still over the moon. Four wins to go.
A week until Halloween. Last night was perfect for the season - rainy and cool, with steady wind and leaves turning and falling and blowing.
