New Year's Day has brought a new experience - a water drain line has an ice dam in it. Feed lines are fine, and I have heat flowing to the drain lines as best I can. Hopefully this will be enough, because we aren't going to see air temps above freezing for another week.

This cold isn't a local phenomenon. A friend in Houston reports 37F, and the nearest above-freezing place a quick look at Weather Underground gives me is coastal South Carolina. I've got relatives there, and could make it in a day, and don't think that I'm not a tiny bit tempted.

Played the first game of Pandemic Legacy Season 2 this morning. Completed both objectives, exploring North America and connecting Chicago and Denver to the Grid. I think this is going to be a tougher game than Season 1, and that was plenty challenging.

Yeah, this reminds me of a few years ago where the US was getting some unseasonably warm weather but Russia was getting a polar vortex that lasted most of the season.
