At least for now, I'm back home.
I started the week off with the first half of the Super Bowl. Not the most exciting thirty minutes of football, but it was okay enough. Had to go to bed early, so I could get up early and head to Louisville.
Monday morning, on the road before sunrise, and the start of onboarding. Over to downtown to meet my supervisor and teammates. Then over to the first hotel of the week.
This week was another reminder that I have friends that are far too good for me. My oldest friend offered to spend some of her stash of rewards points to put me up in another hotel for most of the week. So, here I am in a very nice Tru by Hilton and, well, the reminder mentioned above.
Anyway, back to work. Tons of online training sessions, talks with my supervisor and team. Worked from the hotel yesterday, then shadowed another case manager today and met some of our clients.
And I don't think this job is for me. There is a lot of turnover in the position, so I'm not feeling bad about something like doing this for six months or so and then finding something else.
Turned 52 today. Whee.
