My plans for an early bedtime did not come to pass last night.  I think I was up until a little after midnight.  I did manage to get some writing done, though.  That was a positive.

I dropped out of the M&M game.  The GM's cool with it, and is going to try and recruit more players for the game, as he's down to one right now.  I'm forging ahead with Reign of Steel this week, and would like one more player, myself.

The game session for this week will have a break about 9:30 - first nighttime Space Shuttle launch in several years.  Folks to the east and southeast of us should be able to see the engine flare for a few minutes.

I'm a junkie for NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me news quiz show.  Last weekend, one of the stories brought up was the White House announcement that the George W. Bush Presidential Library (stop giggling) to be built in Texas (quit it) will cost a half-billion dollars (okay, tear into it).  One of the panel pointed out that well, yes, pop-up books are very expensive.  I almost had to pull the truck over to recover from this.

The one that almost made me spew French fries out my nose yesterday was a cow orker referring to inappropriately-placed-and-displayed tattoos as "tramp stamps."

I'm more fond of that phrase than I should be.

How about the "whale tail"? Y'know, that bit of thong that sticks up in back above the waistband of the pants.
