I wonder sometimes how some of our clients stay alive. Last week, we had a crisis with one involving an ER visit and hospital stay and discharge to a rehab facility. Discharge documents got sent to my team and while waiting for something else to process, I took a look and ... holy cow the medication remediation section. Two full pages, single-spaced, just listing their meds. I cannot imagine. I don't know that I would have the bandwidth to keep up with 40 medications for a slew of conditions, so respect to the caretaker for helping the client.

In other news, Knowledge Fight has come to an end. 1130 episodes. Sounds like things just couldn't keep going; Dan came close to saying "irreconcilable differences" during the final episode. The subreddit has lit up a few times, lots of second-guessing, armchair quarterbacking, all that. I know I'm going to miss it. I understand the decision, and good grief the coping skills that Dan must have to survive the years of immersion in the Infowars environment.

I came close to making a drive up to Fort Wayne over the weekend with the dual purpose of avoiding Derby in its entirety and visiting Goodman Games' warehouse sale and convention. Couldn't justify the four-hour one-way drive. BUT. There was a heck of an announcement - Goodman picked up the Elric license! It's a great score and a great successor to the Lankhmar license. It's at least a year away, according to the announcement, so plenty of time to speculate and forget the details.

45 days until the abbreviated Origins visit. 66 until Charcon. 85 until GenCon. Gonna submit my events for Charcon in a few days. Hopefully getting the GenCon badges sorted soon so I can assemble my wishlist for whatever unclaimed time I have in Indy.
