Part Man, Part Monkey
May. 17th, 2007 10:42 amThe drive to work was rewarding - used the truck to help push a disabled Volvo out of traffic (hard to move one of those up a grade with only a couple of humans for motive power). Then, just as I turned into the parking lot here, a headache started. This is yet another sign.
1. There is a BSci Homeland Security program at EKU. This place will probably approve that for tuition reimbursement.

Date: 2007-05-18 12:41 am (UTC)Even Midway College has a homeland security and/or terrorism program at this point. I question the validity of most of them (as far as earning one gainful employment in return for the hellacious tuition demanded). Midway has a lot of stupid flash-in-the-pan programs geared at getting cash from older students desperate to change careers (i.e. "Organizational Administration"), and I chalked it up to being another one of those. I tend to take equal programs with the same grain of salt. UMD's is pretty solid, though, considering the location. Honestly, if one was looking for a federal job right now, they're mostly looking for people with heavy sciences (i.e. chemistry) or certain foreign languages (i.e. Chinese or Arabic).
State, though? If you have a B.A., you probably already meet their qualifications.
