I've slept all day.  Three missed phone calls, probably seeing where I was instead of being at the game.  On the one hand, I'm a little cranky that I missed playing.  On the other, seems that I needed this kind of rest.

I've had no luck with any kind of creative activity this weekend.  My writing goals for the weekend were ridiculously low, and I still failed to come even close to them.  MSWord is open in another window, and the little line I put at the end of things I'm working on (date and wordcount goal) reads like an indictment right now.

In a little less than 48 hours, I'll be on vacation for the GenCon trip.  I'm really looking forward to the trip, even with my knowledge of certain stresses that I'll have to deal with.  It'll be worth it, though.  I have a deliberately-truncated shopping list, and I do know full-well that I'll pick up things not on that list.  Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll get into a game or three.

"In a way it kinda helps that there is nothing from Crafty coming out at the Con."

How many GenCons have gone past now since World on Fire was supposed to be released?

All of them, I think.

In 2005, I ran four Ten Thousand Bullets games at Archon, fully expecting to see it on shelves the following month. So, I still wait.

Don't get me wrong, I've met both Pat and Alex and they're great guys, but as a whole, Crafty can't get their shit together and that's more than a bit alarming.

The only thing that's changed about Spycraft is the name of the folks who're putting it out. Otherwise, it's AEG all over again.

Hey, they've both cut checks for me, so I'm disinclined to have any real beef with 'em.

There are some problems with the shop, though, definitely.

I've got a real problem with one of the licensing rules - the no-competitive-product clause. I can understand wanting to protect a niche, but I'm still enough of a capitalist to say let the market decide.
