Throwing it all Away

The slow cooker break-in was a smashing success.  3-pound roast, with a rub of minced garlic and cracked black peppercorns, cooked for ten hours in a mix of Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and dry mustard.  I started it right before I left for work, and when I got home, the apartment smelled terrific.  elalyr and tegyrius came over for dinner and another run-through of the wedding ceremony (holy cow, less than a week to go), and the roast was extremely well-received - as was Elalyr's chocolate bread.  Hoo-boy.

Anybody out there besides me remember Brave New World, a superhero RPG put out by Pinnacle/Alderac Entertainment Group some years back?  There's a BNW movie in the works.  Seriously - check it out.

China's announced a lunar probe launch sometime in the next week.  More power to 'em.  Maybe seeing a new space race among Asian nations will spur the USA to get back into the business of expanding the human frontier, instead of military adventurism.

I gotta get some writing done tonight.
