Travelin' Man

Boston won Game 2, 2-1.  Not as overwhelming as Game 1's 13-1 drubbing, but a win's a win, and the BoSox are halfway there now.

In a bit less than 50 hours, I'm going to do one of the most important things I've ever done.  I'm going to utter a fairly brief handful of words for two people that I love dearly.  I'm proud and honored in ways I can't quite put into words to have been asked to do this, and I'm also scared out of my mind.  I'm spending much of today and tomorrow rehearsing, getting my inflections and projection down.  I'm doing some temporary internal rewiring, too.  I'm locking out everything but love and hope for my friends.  Sunday night, when we're all back from the park, and the truck's unloaded and I'm lying in bed, I'll deal with everything else, quite possibly by getting back up and playing GTA: Vice City for a few hours.

It's time to take care of some little rituals.  Get clean, catch up on the DVR, and run an errand for myself.
