Only When you Leave
Mar. 21st, 2006 08:55 amFirst full day of spring. 32 and cloudy, winter storm watches and snow advisories all around.
Further weekend-related news: Loose spark plug wires can make you believe your engine is about to fail completely.
Started playing Shadow Hearts: Covenant (PS2) last night. It's very pretty. World War I fantasy, with an Imperial German Army investigator, a spellslinging Vatican priest, and a shapechanging fellow who was the protagonist of the first SH game. The game uses a mechanic called a Judgment Wheel to determine success or failure - when you want to perform an in-game action, the wheel comes up and you have to activate when the needle sweeps through a colored section of the wheel. There are smaller areas for critical successes, and you can get various and sundry power-ups throughout the game to make the success areas bigger, gain cool effects, all that. There's a third Shadow Hearts game coming in the next few weeks, and I'll throw it onto my Gamefly queue.
