Glittering Prize
Oct. 7th, 2006 08:29 pmThis was a good day. Mom and my niece came up, and I drove them around town. Went to Trailblazers to see my brother - he looks much better now than the last time I saw him there. Then, of course, some shopping. My niece ... she'll be 10 in December, and is very much into fashion and whatnot. She's also my niece, and as such, probably the only kid in her class who can name a half-dozen kinds of undead and how to destroy them.
Went to Nothing But Burgers for lunch, and it is good. Quite good. And not expensive - less than $15 for all three of us.
Then to Toys R Us, for LEGO gazing and Christmas gift ideas. Best Buy for a replacement modem for Mom. Finally, back here. Y'know, I've been here nearly a month, and except for those wonderful folks who helped me move in and Erin's weekend visits, this was the first time I've had guests here.
Not so much creativity today. I think I'm going to get in some time with Mercenaries - started a new game today - and see if that sparks anything.
Should be available until 11 or midnight tonight, should folks feel the need for my company. Reachable through the standard methods.
