Coming up on Labor Day weekend, the traditional end of summer.  I'm ready for my favorite time of year (Labor Day through Thanksgiving) to settle in.  Plans are underway for a good ol' day of grilling and eating and hanging out.

The degree to which GenCon relit my creative fires hit me tonight on the drive home from the Mutants & Masterminds game.  A month ago, I was having trouble coming up with a session's worth of good ideas for one game.  In the past two weeks, I've discussed a half-dozen, at least, games - not session or one-shot ideas, entire campaigns - with various and sundry folks.  The best valve I've got for these seriously bright ideas is going to be Aaron's monthly open gaming days (and the games I get into at Half-Price Books) - even if the first two things I've got planned are returns to worlds I've already spent lots of game-time in, they're new ideas, and nicely focused.

I'm jazzed, friends.  Very much so.

The nightmare imagery I discussed earlier is going to have to be exorcised via some particularly strong writing.  I'm hoping that I can put it down on electrons, and then, in a couple of days, once I'm pretty sure it's out of my brain, delete the file and consign this mess to the quantum foam.
