Space Age Whiz Kids

Atlantis is scheduled to lift off this afternoon, but continuing problems with fuel tank sensors may prevent the launch. Heck of a thing to think that, including this mission, there are only going to be a dozen more shuttle flights before the program is retired.
Archon is going back to a three-day schedule for this year, and the state of Illinois took possession of the Holiday Inn that plays host to a lot of the convention's events. The owners built the hotel with a whole lot of state-loaned cash, and were not in any real hurry to pay it back. There's also evidence of some kind of accounting shenanigans going on. Illinois has a management company employed to run the hotel (and do a lot of renovation) before it's put back on the market.
