The outsourcing reassignments have been determined, and things have shaken out reasonably well. Two of us are leaving the company at the end of June - SC is taking a good-sized severance package and she and her husband are going to hit the road for about a year; KEC is just shuffling off, but he was a problematic employee since day one, so there's no emotion tied up in his departure at all. KC, PY, and Jack Midnight are sticking around in some design capacity; no clue exactly what they'll be doing, though. MB and I are taking on identical positions in two new departments - MB with recruitment, me with automotive. My new job will entail better working hours (8:30-5:30 M-F instead of 11-8 M-W and F, 9-6 TH), a goodly chunk of time outside the office, an after-taxes pay increase of about $85/week, and I'll get to spend a lot of time around cars.
Speaking of cars, my brother's was totaled Monday night. According to the insurance company, it can't be made road-safe. He's dealing with some slight depression over it, having spent 36 hours of the 3 days previous to the accident working on the car, but yesterday, he said he'd just sit tight and wait for the new Camaro to release instead of immediately replacing the Corvette.

tegyrius and I saw Doomsday yesterday. It starts off quite well, but quickly degenerates into the bad kind of cinematic bugnuts crazy. Honestly, "inept" is the best word I can come up with for it. However, Rhona Mitra is easy on the eyes, and the trailer for The Incredible Hulk looks terrific on a big screen.

Bought a couple of Heroclix boosters while we were out. The Marvel Avengers booster was ho-hum (Namorita, Hulkling, Iron Lad. Toro, Piledriver), but I was really happy with the DC Crisis one. Got Wonder Girl, Nightwing, Batgirl, Gold, and Speedy. I'm thinking again about trying my hand at some of the tournaments around here.
