Wings of the Master
Apr. 22nd, 2018 11:07 amHeadline of the day, possibly month: Naked gunman on the run after shooting four at Waffle House.
One of my AoR players is leaving. Taking a new job in Macon, Georgia. Ben's one of the first friends I made after moving to Louisville - bonding over X-Wing battles. I've got a couple of drop-in players that are good candidates to succeed him; no hurry, though.
With my departure from the D&D game, I started looking around for another game. There was a flyer for a Deadlands game at Heroes, but that seems to have evaporated after Conglomeration. The Nerd Louisville forum has two promising postings, and there's a healthy discussion going for both of them - Transhuman Space and Mage: the Ascension. I have a deep love for both of them, at least in the reading, and will jump on the first one that sets a Session Zero meeting.
Thunder Over Louisville was yesterday. I saw several of the jets make practice runs over the waterfront on Friday, and most of the prop-driven planes and helicopters stage out of and into Bowman, so I got to see them come and go from the house. Except for the fireworks, I feel like I got a better show experience and didn't have to deal with 600,000 people and the ensuing traffic out of downtown after the show.
