John Quixote

This was a good day. Slept well Saturday night, woke up well-rested and feeling good. Read a little bit, got cleaned up, gathered a few things, headed to Liberty. Dad was gone when I got there, on his way to New York. So, it was Mom and Kaiser and me for the day. I put up the Metalbird sculpture I got them for their anniversary and a new suncatcher/windchime for Mother's Day. We sat on the porch for a while, watching the gentle rainfall and comforting the very good dog when distant thunder troubled him. Made Mom lunch - more fun than going out and dealing with other people. We watched a couple of movies together, chatted quite a bit, just had a really pleasant time together.

Stopped at Danville's Speedway both coming and going. Picked up some throwback Mountain Dews - that's the only place I can find them! Rolled up US150 back to Louisville, some rain in Washington County, got home just before sunset. Housemate is out with his needy-ass too-significant other, and praise Dog I have another quiet evening to myself.

Second load of laundry is underway. Don't know how many I'll manage tonight. Whatever. Domestic tranquility.
