Saw Terminator Salvation yesterday. Not especially impressed, except for Anton Yelchin's rather spectacular performance as Kyle Reese.

Got in some time with The Niece, and took her home to Louisville in the evening. She's a sweet kid, and it's good to talk with her on these little trips.

Short workweek, of course. And next week, too.

Skipped Term Sal to see Star Trek.

I get the impression that I choose wisely.

Salvation feels more like a batch of action sequences strung together than an actual movie. For a normal summer action flick, that's not so bad, but the Terminator franchise deserves better.

There's a scene in the middle of the movie that feels for all the world like one scene was excised and replaced with another one cobbled together from footage from another cut scene.
