tracker7A wave of stupid hit at work last night at the end of the conventional work day.
For today's paper: a full-page, full-color ad was misscheduled - the space was reserved by our layout people, but the ad is supposed to run on Monday. This was not discovered until around 7 p.m. Also, a daily promotional ad was not supplied to the artists, so, no little promotional thingy. Our publisher is going to love that.
For tomorrow's Weekender: four ads cancelled, one because it was misscheduled. One of the other cancelled ads had to be, well, resurrected when the client called a sales rep supervisor (one of the two good ones) and asked if we can fit the ad in after all. Much scrambling, much swearing. Were I a wine drinker, I would impose a short-term boycott on a particular local winery.
