Ain't got You
Oct. 26th, 2014 10:53 amAced my 400 midterm. Not surprised - I'm enjoying this course more than any other.
I'm about 95% sure I'm going to shift my MPH concentration to Policy when that time comes around. I'm still fascinated by epidemiological methods and applications, but policy work is just more interesting to me.
Played in a X-Wing tournament yesterday afternoon, and learned that I am not too thrilled with the escalation format. Managed to kill a Decimator in one of my rounds (only player in the tournament to do so), but went 1-3 overall. For the most part, this is a really cool group of players. No jerks, and while everyone (except me) is there to win, there's none of the win-at-every-cost behavior I've seen in other competitions.
After the tournament, I went out with one of my classmates and some of her emigre friends. Hanging out with a housefull of Cuban economic exiles is the most fun I've had in months.
