I didn't go to the train show, mostly because another goddamned electrical problem popped up in the Mariner. There's a broken or loose connection somewhere and it's draining the battery. So, I holed up and wrote and played games and ordered a new keyboard.

Got up early this morning to take the little guy to Liberty. Left much later than I had planned, and there were repercussions. Jump-started the engine, disconnected the battery, and hit the road. No gremlins, and he ran pretty well. Ran into some rain here and there, and when I got into the county, there was water across US127 just north of KY906 - and 127 was closed. Flash flooding. A creek got out of its banks and the road was covered by logs. So, back up to Hustonville to take 78 and 49. Some water over the road, but the big shock was Martin Creek. Normally just a little bit of a stream, the creek was a a fast-moving set of rapids. Got to Mom&Dad's.

Started planning how to get back to Louisville and figured that I'd just go west through Campbellsville. Well, no, because KY70 washed out a few miles inside the county line. Okay, the sawmill has been cleared, so I can take US127 north and ... no, because that road through town is a riverbed. So, hell with it, through my least-liked route. Took forever, but I made it. And I am exhausted.
